i met my fiance on e-harmony

in may 2007. he was the first and only person i met here (i was the only person he met as well) and it is amazing how good we are together! We're getting married in May 2009...don't give up hope, i really believe that eh works!

i love what you've all said! many people think we are strange for waiting so 'long' to get married! We decided from the start we would have to date an entire year before getting engaged. i think a mature person sees the time of engagement as an opportunity to prepare for marriage, not an obstacle to it. I'll be 26 and he'll be 27 on our wedding day...sounds just great to me :)

Ok-If you would've told me a week ago that I would be writing this I'd say you are nuts! I have totally fallen in love with this wonderful girl from Montana!-I have never seen here face to face but we both truely know this was a match made in heaven! This is where it gets nuts!-before the first phone conversation-I knew I loved her! After we talked the first time-we both knew we were truly soulmates(matched on eharmony-by GOD) All you Christians out there-just keep praying! God works in mysterious ways and we can truly testify to that!

I met my fiancee(that sounds really weird saying it) here to and he was the only one i dated. We only dated for a little over a year and a half. Just got engaged on Monday! We started going out on Jan. 2007 but we talked for a month before then, so maybe close to two years. He counts it when we started "Talking" I count it when we went out for real.

I do agree that EH works but the factors have to be right too. My friends have tried it and to no success. So it varies. :)

I am completely understanding of the process here at EH... but I seem to be having some really terrible luck. Maybe I havent filled things out correctly... but I've closed or been closed by the guy nearly 700 times. Is that way out of the norm? Also, I send the 1st set of questions and never hear back from them... and I dont think it's that I'm not being patient.... I mean after several months, they should have said something right?? I've been a member of this site for nearly 2 years (off and on with time/money permitting) and Ive never met anyone from here... talked to maybe 2 people on the phone with very terrible phone conversations. It's starting to get to me :(

Congratulations to you stereogirl! At the age of 48, I joined eharmony in January 2008 to widen my circle of potential matches. I corresponded with a number of men between January and March, but only met three guys in person. The first two guys were very nice people, but the third fellow was just extra special. We corresponded for about one month, then progressed to telephone conversations during the second month.

In May, we finally met in person and I am happy to report that this wonderful man and I are still happily together almost 6 months after our first date. We're amazingly well-matched. As mature adults, we realize that this profound love we've discovered in each other is a precious gift. Like you, we are taking our time to grow together, become acquainted with families and friends to build a strong foundation for our relationship. Even though we are taking our time, there is no doubt that we are headed towards a long-term commitment.

I suggest that people keep an open mind and have faith that there is someone special out there for each person-- it can happen at any age.
