Agreed. I think these forums are quite good for this, because we have to interact without body and facial expression. I never really realised before how many 'cues' I read from non-verbal expression!

Things like how they are sitting or standing, which way their body is positioned to me and to others, if they talk animatedly with their hands, facial expressions, if they are fighting back yawns. I look really hard at their eyes on topics I think may be sensitive to see whether they are become hurt, angry or afraid ... I can't tell any of those things in written forums. This reminded me of something I learned about years ago. There is a serious study of the sociology and psychology of group photos - barbecues, reunions, Christmases, weddings - and the meaning behind the grouping and stances of people. It's really fascinating to see the tiny clues behind where people stand in relation to one another, and how they position themselves within a group, along with what their individual body language is saying. You can learn a lot about people.

But I am realistic, I know no one perfect is out there no matter who says they are perfect.

Please note: I said I know there is no one perfect and I do not expect perfection, so no I am not waiting to be swept away but if you fall in love,, are you not swept away?

I am very realistic and do not moon over the impossible.
