Do you do anything special to acknowledge the bad economy or do you proceed as normal? Dating can be very expensive. In one of my jobs, I call many different parts of the USA. People are still losing jobs and it appears to be getting worse. Any thoughts on this?

Divingirl I'm so glad to hear that. You are kind, funny, intelligent, witty and warm. You deserve this.

Why do you think that's happening? Do you think it's a coincidence or is the state of the economy somehow influencing the increase in your dating?

I haven't had any dates since January, although I had more dates last year than I did for a long time. I'm currently in various stages of GC/OC with 4 EH guys right now. But I don't think that's because of the economy - probably because it's spring and hormones are rising, there's more daylight and better weather and people want to find others to do things with.

i've only been on eh a month now and havent seen any change . It kind of go's like this. If you don't have money comming in then your not going to spend it on things like eh. If your not working then you will have more free time . Maybe thats why some are dating more.

I don't date online and am haven't been on Eh for over 2 years. BUT...as a man, I've had to watch how much I spend on my social life and dating and curtail things I've done. The economic downturn isn't affecting it all that much for me. In fact, I'm making more money this year than last.

I am expecting my dates to shoulder more of the burden (costs) of our dates because I think that's only fair (yes-I know a touch subject LOL). But I've found very willing dates to do that and it makes our dates so much more fun and allows us both to date more do things we normally couldn't do if I was paying for everything. (hint hint, ladies).

boccabum that's honest of you to say that. I know how you feel and I haven't been dating too much myself. I'm very busy right now. Were I to date, I certainly (because of the economy) wouldn't be spending as much $ as I have in the past per dating. Dating canbe very expensive andI'd rather wait for agood woman.
