You've joined eHarmony and you're either inundated with matches or still waiting for one. What do you do?

You tell me. Apparently setting nothing at important, and having your distance at 120 miles is good for maybe 3-4 matches a week.

Oh Petey. Not again...Still having problems? Move to South Jersey dude. It's gotta be the land o' plenty here. HUGE metro/suburban area...PLUS 15 minutes over the bridge to Philadelphia.

Point is anywhere in NJ is like a 60 mile radius from where you are. Especially if you are like me in Middlesex County. So 60 miles north puts me in NY, 60 miles south puts me in DE, and 60 miles west puts me in PA. There should be no issue.

3-4 matches a week does not sound that bad to me, especially given your young age relative to the eH pool. At just 20 years old, there are going to be very few women younger than you on eH, so you are limited to women your age and those who are willing to date someone younger.

Also, Petey, have you updated your pictures yet? I know you've given reasons before about why you've included your profile picture here in your eH profile, but Dude, it is not a flattering picture!

For the price of this service, 4 matches a week is not worth it. Honestly, even when I first signed up and they send you a ton of matches, I was maybe getting 7 a week. Then I had a span where I didn't get a match for nearly 2 1/2 weeks. It may take about 6 weeks of getting 4 matches a week until I actually get a "paying" customer. So if you do that, it's roughly 1 match a month that can actually communicate.

I have about 7 pictures on my profile, I rotate my main picture every so often.

"You may be missing that special someone because they live 31 miles away!"

The article is wrong. When I choose 30 miles, eHarmony still sends me matches from towns 45 miles away (aerial). When I chose 60 miles, I still got matched with someone 70 miles away!

Has anyone else here have the same experience?

When I had it at 30 miles, I was getting matched with people in Michigan, Virginia, and Florida.

I chose several countries and I get absolutely nobody from my own state. So this means there is nobody in my state or Eh shells out a few at a time my direction with no regard about distance.

I get alot of matches, but what good does that do if no one will even look at your profile. the 2 matches that even bothered to talk to me, I contacted first. Before joining E.H. I thought I was a pretty good catch, I had a good self image. Now 6 mo. later, I am startting to feel like Quasimoto. Like you Colorado Winstion, I do get matches from C.O. but they are at least a 2 h drive away.
