This is both a question and a bit of a rant. It is mostly gender specific to the girls as you are more likely to change your hair style and color than most guys.

I just opened a new match and took a look at her photos. She has four photos posted which is good. However, she has a different hair style in each photo. From very short (which is a style that I don't personally care for) to shoulder length or slightly longer (which is more to my tastes). Then to add to my confusion there are at least two hair colors, maybe three. Decidedly red (which is not my preference) to quite dark brown (which is much more to my tastes).

So now for the question, how do I know which girl I am going to be communicating with? Is it the girl who has naturally dark brown hair and has worn it longer all her life and decided that she was going to cut it really short and become a redhead? Or maybe the short hair photo is from early in the year and she has now decided that she is going to let her hair be longer and the natural color. Or maybe it is the girl who is going to change hair style and color every few weeks and so I would never know who is going to meet me at the door?


Captions that indicated when each photo was taken could have gone a long way to solving my confusion.

She's the same person no matter what her hairstyle or hair color. Lots of WOMEN (I assume that she is over age 18) change their hairstyles and hair color over time, some more frequently than others. If you aren't comfortable with a woman who likes to experiment with how she looks, then just don't contact her. It really doesn't sound like you would be a good match for her.

Most women I know don't change hair styles that often. The only female I know that changed their style as much as you described was my daughter. When she was 13. She outgrew this by 14.

Hmm, if I was dating Sybil (are you old enough to know the movie?) would that mean that most of the time I was cheating?

I bet the short red style was a passing fancy. Unless this is most of her photos, I would assume that the brown hair is more likely her. Of course it would take a while to grow out the short style.
And hair color is uncertain once you hit 50 and a lot of gray. Even when you are trying to keep it the same, it may vary by several shades
Quit being so picky! Have you been going on lots of dates? I haven't. So I would definitely not eliminate somebody for his hair syle or his bald style!

Yes I'm old enough to know that movie...LOL.

Ever watched the United States of Tara? She'd say you were cheating if you dated any of her personalities. That's one place that I'm not going--I know nothing about the topic.

But in serious regard to your question--it seems she's posted a lot of pictures of herself over time--I think she needs to pick the NOW and post those, and if she changes her style that frequently, date stamp her pictures so the men who see her profile know that she's a very diverse woman.

Gr8guy....ya gotta relax a little bit on your criteria dude! I personally think you are looking at this all wrong.

Think about this in a different way: You are going out on a date with a red head, a blonde, short hair, long hair, brunette..all for the price of ONE!

You are correct and this goes to the heart of my question / confusion. If there were captions with dates of when the photos were taken then I would have some idea of if she is someone who changes her hair style and color every few weeks or if these are photos that represent a year or two of time.

I get dates just not ones that I usually want to continue with. Had one last night where the person I met looked nothing like the person represented in the photo
