Besides being able to keep up with your date (despite whichever of you is in stilettos)

Umm . . . . NO !

you can say to the new potential love of your life, “How about a picnic and a hike? I know a great place.” (Even if you don’t know a great place.)

Fabulous stuff!
All I need is a picnic and a hike, plus the magic mirror on the wall, and the love life will take care of itself

This is silly.

Yes, it is easier to meet someone if you are outside with other people rather than sitting on your couch. That is just common sense

However, it is NOT easier to meet someone if you are seriously fit than if you are completely un-fit. I suspect the reverse might actually be the case as I find that the average person is put off by serious fitness levels in a prospective partner.

being healthy, not fit, increases confidence via those lovely hormones our bodies produce to make us feel good.  so yes, it's easier to be outgoing to possibly attract people if you feel good about yourself--all that goodness shows on the outside.
