We were both looking for someone to share our lives with that liked to laugh and have fun, dance, movies, golf, exercise, travel, and socialize. Someone looking for a committed relationship, with the same morals. We were so amazed when we opened each other’s profiles from eHarmony. It's like we had known each other all of our lives. I had even asked Vince if we had met before somewhere.

We communicated online for a couple weeks and had a great time getting to know each other. Two weeks later we exchanged phone numbers and started to get to know each other even more. Vince and one of his sons came to Ft. Collins to meet my 2 children and I. Vince tried to chicken out when I had a couple unexpected guest show up, but I harassed him enough by calling him "chicken" that he had to make an appearance! When they arrived it felt so strange the way we both had this instant connection. We sat and visited for 2 hours and were sad to see that he needed to head back to Longmont. We did the strange first hug and of course my sense of humor had to kick in and we both had to laugh over the awkwardness. The next day I invited him back to Ft. Collins for my son’s football game. After the game, we went for a Pizza with the kids and every time we touched it was like electricity. I kept thinking how strange this all was. I was sure that relationships like this only happened in the movies.
As Vince started to leave I got enough courage to hug and kiss him. "WOW" did the fireworks go off then!!! From that moment on we both knew we didn't want to be apart. We spent the winter, spring and summer together golfing, traveling, meeting families and friends, dancing to live music and going to movies. It has been the most wonderful time in both of our lives. It was like nothing/anybody else existed except us and our kids. We have been inseparable ever since. 1 weekend apart in the 1.5 years we have been together and it about drove us both crazy. Vince took me to Nebraska to meet his parents, we became fast friends. All of our friends and families kept telling us they had never seen either of us so content and happy. We both felt we had finally met the person we had been longing to meet for so long. On Christmas Day 2007 Vincent proposed to me on 1 knee in front of my whole family (ten kids and parents). I don't embarrass easily but I blushed like never before.
I insisted that we date 1 year before getting married. We both decided we wanted to go somewhere neither of us had been before to get married, so on September 1st, 2008 we flew to Kauai, Hawaii. It was the most beautiful place and we chose to married on the beach at Poipu Pointe on September 3rd, 2008 at 5pm. Truly a magical time. Vincent moved to Ft. Collins and relocated his employment here as well. We both feel we have our best friend by our sides and no matter what we support and love each other unconditionally.
We are both so grateful for eHarmony. We are always telling people how it changed our lives and everybody we talk to are so eager to hear all about the connection that eHarmony gave to us. We cannot thank you enough for matching us together.
